My dog ended up injuring his leg and it ended up costing me quite a bit of money. I struggled just to collect enough money to pay to get his leg examined, x-rayed, and medication that's a pain killer and to help with the inflammation. Fortunately there were no broken bones, but there's a possibility that it's CCL, which is the doggy equivalent of ACL and they've already warned me that the surgery for it can be in the thousands..... THOUSANDS.... omg... I don't know what to do if that ends up being the case. From what I've researched online that surgery is usually ranging from $2k-$5k for big dogs. I'm freaking out cause I don't have that kind of money TT____TT

I really hope that this isn't CCL or at least it ends up being a minor case of it so that it can eventually heal without the surgery.

Has anyone else ever had to deal with a dog that had this injury before? Was surgery really needed for it? I've read sources say they should and some claiming that it's not required.
