I can relate to this in so many ways :/
At the moment I use Charu as a primary design to represent me as a mascot. However, NightStar (my real main sona) has been MIA from my life. She's not exactly retired but not exactly being in use.

I leaned towards redesigning her from the ground up. I've tried many times and many concepts, yet nothing "clicks" with me. So for now she remains in limbo while I remain fursona-less besides my little cape dog.

I feel empty and have been for months. At this current time I don't have anything I can draw in lovey situations with my own partner and it sucks D:

I know the feeling, but really, just try and think of what you think you would be like as a fur, if that makes any sense? What species do you think your personality goes with, and that kinda stuff. I like to snuggle people 'n keep 'em close and safe so.. Kangaroo because pouches are wonderful~

Honestly i'm the same with the community at the moment, it's kinda become a turd pile in its own weird way with how the site has been handling it. Right now it just feels like people who are over-rated / completely full of them selves are higher up on the popularity chain than actual people are. FA's just a place where people strive to prove who has the biggest E-pen.


It's a terrible feeling, as someone who's been working their dick off the last few months trying to get somewhere/get noticed on some other sites (with obviously my non-fetish work, my DA speaks for that XD) but its hard, and its a shitty feeling when you don't get noticed which then causes this whole "am i really apart of this thing". With regards to a sona, just whack on an animal you like and anthro it. It's what i did, that or you can do a blood offering to satan, one of the two works.

That's how I feel most of the time, whenever I create a character to represent me they always splinter off into their own thing. But It's not like theres some sort of rule saying you HAVE to have a fursona, I personally find it eaiser to not have one and use my other characters as needed.

I recently changed fursonas, after years of being a Charmeleon. But I took a whole year and a half pondering about my change, and then figuring out a design for my new self. I took it slow and made sure it's what I wanted before I made the big change.

Similarly? Maybe you could find a fursona you could attach to, if you look inward and really spend some time thinking about what really fits you. <:3 Ask: who are you? Then, who would your fursona be to represent you?

I getcha, sometimes I don't feel super attached either?

You don't really NEED a murrsona though.
