6 things learned my first time in fursuit

Midwest FurFest 2015 was a big deal for me because it was the first furry convention I was able to go to and be able to fursuit. I have been to a few furry conventions but had not had the chance to get into a suit (either my own or others) and here are some fun things I learned firsthand.
1. OH MY GOD THE SWEATING! This should come as no surprise but going through it did catch me off guard at first. My first time out in suit, I was sweating before I made it to the lobby :P Luckily this was not that big of a deal.
2. You get hugs from so many people whether you know them or not. People will go out of their way to get a hug and it was so rewarding.
3. I am the same person in suit as I am out of suit. This is not true for everybody. People can make drastic changes in personality in suit and I can see why. I'm pretty outgoing by nature and I was in my otter as well, though probably a little more than usual.
4. Being able to look at a camera is an art form. If you have "follow me eyes" then this is easy, but for someone who doesn't and only practiced with selfies in the bathroom this was a challenge. I basically learned that if I couldn't see the camera or the cameraperson, then I was likely looking in the right direction.
5. I will likely never see 95% of the photos taken of me in suit. So many pictures and I doubt I'll be able to track them down though I will try.
6. I become way more confident at the dances/raves. I tore it up at the dance floor in the most embarrassing way possible and I loved every second of it. Don't think I would have been able to do this out of suit.
It was a life-changing experience. MFF was a bigger con than I anticipated and didn't get to see everybody I wanted to but that's okay! Hope to attend cons more frequently in the future and continue learning how to fursuit.

Even in my partial, sweating is absurd! Under armor is your lifeline, but when you're SUPER active at a dance/rave while in suit, have a hydration plan ready and nearby!
...seriously I have so many bodies to bury...
