Friday! That wonderful time of the week when we finally get two days off which we try to fill with 4 to 5 days worth of tasks and chores. XD Trying to adhere to my own cut-off rules, this Paw-Post and the last couple (and all future ones) will only include posts up to 10:00am EST (if the post comes out later than that) or earlier if the post goes up before 10am. It's just a way to make it easier to stop editing the thing over and over as more pictures pop up throughout the day, and also good for days like this where CONSTANT interruptions made this go from a mid-morning post to an evening one as I struggled to get the time to do it. Why: Because details! Kory's done an amazing job here on the footpaws putting so much definition into the arch, heel and ball-pad, and beautiful skin detailing on the inner arch and base of the toes. But it doesn't stop there either - check out that back! Mmf... backs can be so gorgeous, and this is a great example of one. Exveemon's expression is also very teasing and playful. The fact that he's specifically looking for someone to tend his tired paws is what makes this one the "most pawesome" for today. Nice job Kory. :)

1st pic: Heeeeeeeeeeeeee!! I've known this was coming for a while now after seeing Sera's template sketch for it, and it's SO awesome that BC could bring the idea to life. This is Varra Stoutpaw; Sera's broody, enormous female Blood Legion Centurion. She....... does not like Quaggan. And also, now you know why there are no Quaggan in Ascalon. Fun fact: Type "Quaggan Golf" into Google, check out the first result. :D

2nd pic: Huuunnghh... that is one sexy man. And he darn well knows it too from that expression. This is a nice look at the tops of a charr's huge, awesome footpaws.

Artist (re)Highlight:  DJ-Rodney!

(TC) WAY back when the Paw-Post was a new thing and the artists highlights were stupidly simple things, DJ-Rodney was one of them (Nov. 18th, 2014). Some (live) Q&A

(TC) Thanks for joining us for the Highlight in this Paw-Post! Now, anyone who's seen your stuff is gonna know right off the bat, you are a very dedicated footpaw artist. Was that intentional when you started drawing, or did that just kinda happen along the way?

(Rodney) Well, I've always had a thing for feet/paws ever since I was very young. I guess it was all those fetish fuel cartoons back in the 90's I only started drawing footpaw stuff when I was in middle school and hid it away from my parents.

(TC) Neat - I can certainly relate to that! Though um... was more like the late 70s and 80s for me. *coughs* So... that makes me curious - do you have a particular favourite cartoon character (or characters) that really inspired you footpaw-wise?

(Rodney) Hmm... That's a lot of characters, although I always did like Baloo and Little John from Disney's Robin Hood, even though one of them wore shoes, I still liked to imagine what his paws looked like underneath those! But yes, there was Animaniacs, Bonkers, Looney Tunes, Godzilla, oh and one that was later on for me Dragon Tales, corny cartoon, but that one had a lot of feet in it! haha

(TC) Heh - a lot of those cartoons were pretty corny when we look back at them, but I can certainly see how those inspired you (and your art shows it). So, can you explain what it is that you like about footpaws - scent, shape, size, type, etc, etc? Be as descriptive as you like.

(Rodney) I think shape and scent are the biggest kinks for me. I like 'em to be musky as if they were just removed from shoes or were in sandals all day. I'm not into humanoid feet on anthros, they gotta look more animalistic but still plantigrade.

(TC) So a Class 3 type footpaw on the scale system we use (my fave as well). Doesn't take long in looking at your gallery to see that there are a LOT of bear paws in there; is that your favourite kind of footpaw?

(Rodney) Indeed! I love me those fully padded soles (more flesh to lick. heheh) I also love canine/vulpine paws as well! Those are probably my two faves as long as they are drawn well enough! Pretty much anything that has full padded soles, I'll be all over that. Raccoons, skunks, bears...etc.

(TC) Heh, very nice. Now... is there anything you don't like about footpaws or any pet-peeves with them?

(Rodney) I mentioned one of them above, and that's human feet on anthros. Another one would be two-toed, I don't know if hooves count but that's a huge no-no for me! The only times human shaped feet are acceptable is when they are on hooved creatures like boars and bulls. Glow in the dark pads and/or claws are a turn off for me as well.

(TC) Would have never expected the glow-in-the-dark answer. XD So as an artist, do you have a favourite type of character or scene to draw?

(Rodney) The type of characters I like working with are bears of course, but it doesn't always have to be that way. As long as they are big and burly I can enjoy working with that. As for scenes? I like nature-type scenes. Although they take a bit more time to draw and are more expensive on my commission prices, I like doing them. Bob Ross is a huge inspiration on my landscape work.

(TC) Cool - and I've really enjoyed the pieces you've done like that; I guess that's why - you really put your heart into them. So lets finish up with the usual last question - is there anything you would like to say to the folks on the Paw-Post?

(Rodney) I just want to say thanks for everyone's support on my work, its been quite the journey here on FA and I've learned a lot over the 6½ years I've been here. My art has improved because of you guys! There's still a lot to improve on and I'll still keep on pushing out more awesome paw art for everyone. :)
