MISTLETOE SCHMISTLETOE,I'VE GOT MACE
i spent almost 5 YEARS trying to decipher this idiomatic expression,i can't wrapmy headd around it,since i'm not mothertongue nor American..so i completely failed into grasping the true sense of this expression..can somebody help me?

Mistletoe is what people traditionally kiss under during Christmas because, as a joke, people say you'll get married the year after when you kiss someone.
As for Mace... well... Mace is pepperspray. which is PAINFUL!
