It's probably just a question of times. FA often has problems of connection. Sometimes, the website is unavailable for 1 day or 2, sometimes, it's in "read-only mod", when we can't post anything or delete anything.

I myself noticed that I didn't have a lot of submissions to watch from the artists I'm watching recently, so... that's maybe a problem with the website which will be solved in 1 day or 2 (I know you said it began at least one week ago, which is a little strange, but... maybe it's a problem which has been noticed now?)?

Maybe someone will come here to confirm or disconfirm what I said...

Do you still have this problem by the way? I tested to upload a drawing and it didn't take even 2 seconds. I tested on Mozilla Firefox 64 bits and Linux Mint 17.3.
So, either the problem was solved or it comes from your computer / operating system / googlechrome / file.

By the way, FA limits the canvas size to 1280*1280 px, but it accepts to upload big resolution files (it will just resizes it). So... as I noticed you often upload scanned traditional drawings, the question could also be: are the files you try to upload with a resolution like 5000*5000 or 8000*8000, etc...? The question can seem weird, but if the resolution is this big, I suppose it can maybe be harder for FA to upload, so the problem could come from there.

Whatever, if your resolution image is not too high and your file size not too heavy and if you still have the problem you explain on this journal, I think that the problem really comes from your computer (or something in your computer) and I don't have a solution unfortunately. =/
