Help, someone took over my Facebook account

So I normally don't use my facebook account, but I do have one since a lot of websites want you to sign in with your facebook. Just today I found out I've been locked out of my account and there's pictures of these people I don't even know using my account. Not only that, when I try to do the security measures part, I can't even verify my identity since it's asking me to identify people on my friends list, and the person filled it with a bunch of people I don't know.
I really don't want this person to be going around with my name and possibly doing inappropriate things and posting it up as me. Does anyone know what can possibly done to stop them and get my account back?

After getting the run around from the help section I finally found this:
"We don't provide support for accounts that were hacked, phished or otherwise compromised..."
Wtf..... seriously.... W.T.F..... You're a massive social media website... that refuses to help people with their stolen accounts... I just can't even.... Uuuuuugh.

Right now I can't locate the option for hacked accounts to be reported at all.
How were you able to delete your account? At this point I'm willing to just delete it so that the person can't keep using my identity.
I know a lot of FB's 'help' links keep basically going in circles with people with legitimate issues not being able to do much of anything if the hacker is even remotely tech savvy. At least that's how it felt to me.
Anyways: https://www.facebook.com/help/162166840513454 is where the Help section leads if you're a friend trying to help someone whose account is hacked. At this point, you can probably have someone work on helping you to remove the account, if you're willing to just get rid of it and make a new one later. (I, personally, probably won't go back unless I absolutely have to: because this is all just so ridiculous)
They didn't even ask me my security question, just went straight to locking me out. Uuuuuuugh, facebook, why?! Why do you suck so much when you're such a big social media website?!
At this point I just don't wanna deal with facebook ever again and would like to get it deleted @__@
I agree, for such a large media site, their process of helping a person when there's a real problem is...lacking in actual help.

They set my account to private so I can't even access it through the profile page to delete it @__@;;
Ugh, I just don't understand how such a huge social media website could have such shitty service. Fuck FaceBook.
