From an absolutely amazing director, Neill Blomkamp, of whom
overlai and I have been enamored with for years and years, comes (FINALLY) his first full-length movie. Already chock-full of viral marketing and so much promise, we are both completely head-swimmingly excited over this.
INSECTOID ALIENS ARE ADORABLE. I am so excited.
AUGUST 14. HELL YEAH.
While we wait, enjoy some of Neill Blomkamp's previous works of genius and beauty, and see why I am so fucking excited to see his cinematographic style used in a FULL FILM.
Alive in Joberg - All of District 9 is based off of this old short film.
Halo 3; Combat: Part II - Neil did a series of short films preceding the release of Halo 3. He was hired as director of the Halo movie for a while, but Bungie and Microsoft decided to be money-grubbing bitches so it never happened. It probably never will.
