So here I am on the other side. I'm home now, after my surgery, and other than being sore and bloated and tired, I'm doing pretty well. The surgery was easy, my doctor said I was a text book case of how it's supposed to go, that it couldn't have gone better. Now all I have to do is heal and relearn how to eat. It's going to be a long, difficult road ahead, but I walk it eagerly. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who prayed for me, wished me well and had me in their thoughts during the time I was in surgery and in the hospital. It seems surreal to think that I finally did it, after a year of getting ready for it. Now I just have to take it one day at a time.
