It's a RPG. You can buy it from Steam. It's not like your typical RPG though, It's really unconventional for an RPG... the only way to find out is to play for yourself.

Undertale is an game where you play as a human that you give a name to. You encounter different monsters along the way. However, you must choose which path of the game you want to play. Pacifist - playing the game without killing one monster/character. Genocide - killing everything in your path. Neutral - basically a mixture of the two. Preferably, it's best to play the Pacifist run cause you connect with the characters and then start the genocide run, cause that's where the heavy amount of feels kicks in. Did I forget to mention that there are soooo much feels in this game? Anyway that's just optional, otherwise you can play it however you want to.

Well, really, Pacifist is "don't kill anything, and make friends with everyone you can", and Genocide is "go out of your way to kill everyone--whether they're in your way or not". There's another reason to do a Pacifist run before a Genocide run, but I won't spoil it...

It's an awesome game. Really awesome story, characters, music, and gameplay, man. I think you should try it out.

Its essentially an RPG stylized like an old school RPG (like Final Fantasy or Ultima) in which this kid travels around and underground full of monsters. The game is noted for its fun characters, its plot, and for the fact that each time you play it, something different can happen. The story changes based on if you fight the monsters you encounter or if you spare them

Its a pretty simple game, not much to it aside from the characters and story. Its coded pretty simply, but I will say the theme gets more dark the closer you get to beating it (which only takes about 5-6 hours)
