sorry, hate to vent that incredible frustration

But one thing is for sure you have much skill doing it this way since there's only so little of us left who do it. XD
for $75 it offers pretty much all the same features that the $300 wacom tablets have, but for a much lower price, and it gives a very large active area. the only two features that it lacks which the Wacom tablets have is that there is no pen tilt, and you can't use the other end of the pen as an eraser. So all in all, it's a very reasonable trade off.
The only real reason I'm recommending this tablet is because it's the same one I've been using for the past one and a half years and I've had no issues with it. That, and I see a lot of people recommending Wacom tablets to new artists, mainly because they are a reliable brand that the vast majority of artists use, but in terms of price-to-performance they are pretty much the Apple of the tablet industry. Sure, they're reliable, the company has a strong reputation, and the products are high quality, but they tend to be way over-priced. :p
Anyways, sorry for rambling on, it's just that I was in the same position you were a year ago and I just wanted to let you know that there are some more affordable options. I wish you the best of luck and happy holidays! :3
