They have added a lot of content recently, but unfortunately it's high level material. :( Blizz rarely ever pays attention to their older material.

I agree with Dragon359 here... there really isn't much worth while doing till you hit up with the current end-game content stuff at the high levels, being not many bother with old world and BC type stuff these days. Sometimes you might find a person or two, willing to team up with you on a few quests or run an old-world dungeon, though they are rare.

The old world is kind of boring, The expansions have all the cool gear. If you want to give it more of a try, I'd suggest finding a buddy that's been playing a while, and do the 'recruit-a-friend' deal. for 90 days you both get 3x experience up to lvl 60, ability to summon each other, a couple other perks. That can help you blaze through the old content and get to the cool stuff.

I personally enjoy the game from 1st level to endgame material. I think they did a great job creating a world... leveling from 1-80 again is a chore though, especially when you've invested time into a character already. I have like 50 alts heh...

(....says the girl sucked into the game by friends that are never online anymore. WoW can kinda suck if you're a newbie going it alone, or a female toon playing after 10pm. @_@)

yea, i have some friends i raid with in a small guild, otherwise i have alts everywhere from creating a toon so i could play with random ppl i met online, only to never see them on heh.

i have like 8 chars on the same realm. it takes a while to level. theres lots of little professions and other skills to level and you can play around on the ah and make gold and collect little pets and whatnot nd all this other stuff but theres not anything new till endgame or the new place called northrend tho sadlly.

Don't know that it's all that much different from any other of a dozen MMORPGs, but I do like the holiday quest activities, and their Achievements section gives the goal-oriented something to obsess over in between quests. ;)

For casual slaughter and random stupidity - and the occasional fun pickup group/dungeon run - the low level content might lack a lot of the more unusual minigame quests of the new high-level zones, but it's not boring the first time around. (Now, try rolling up a host of various class types, and, AYE, you'll start having nightmares of certain quest chains.)

I will recommend that if any of your friends play it, get the names of their servers and try rolling chars on those. WoW's not half as much fun when you're a low-level always running solo. (Or such has been my experience of it, anyways. Pickup groups only take one so far, and you wind up with jerks far more often than gems.)
