The work in axanar is extraordinary. Seriously, it could even make me watch a star-trek movie, since I never bothered (I am a starwars kinda guy).

But. Is it ok to disagree about this? I feel that there is somethin wrong with anyone taking advantage of someone else's intellectual property. Look at what the Axanar guys created and yet they had no clue on how to make their own universe, own storyline, own languages/places. I think that above all, this is stupid, they are actually "abusing" the fame of Star-trek to get their own kickstarter to one million dollars. I highly doubt the people that funded this would have done so if they just called it Axanar, nothing to do with star-trek D:!

But then again, seeing how the petitions are going in change.org, I'd say I am a minority.

The people wanted do make the ST movie because of the love they have for ST and not because they want the money from the Fans, I like the Axanar Project more as the new Movies, and I never had donated money to some random Space film.

Its not their property. Case closed.

I saw the trailer for Axinar some time ago and I wondered if Paramount/CBS Viacom would notice it since they have been allowing other Fan made ST based films get made for almost a decade now.But, I will agree that the quality of Axinar is a big step above most if not all of the other films.Maybe that got their attention.Anyway,I am afraid that Paramount does have a good case here.

The thing is Axanar is production quality while other fan films are not. They're afraid Star Trek: Axanar will hurt ticket sales because it is much closer to the spirit of Star Trek than what Paramount is doing to the franchise. Don't believe me? Watch Prelude to Axanar.
