Jasen Tamiia: Meeting his parents/ fundraiser/ funeral

Is this the beginning?
Today I went to Jasen Tamiia’s house. The hard part was not getting there, but rather getting out of my truck when I parked behind his car. It’s a heavy feeling to see something that belonged to someone, and knowing they will never use it again.
I met and spoke with his mom and dad. It was hard stepping into his house, to then see a shrine his mother had placed in remembrance of him. An enlarged photo of Jasen looking through a video camera, surrounded by candles and family photos.
Being able to talk to his parents and reflect on Jasen’s life and the influence he had on people as an artist, musician, friend, and son really brought a sense of comfort to me. It was hard at first to begin, but sadness turned to happiness. Heartbreak seemed to turn into comfort.
Jasen was an open book to his parents literally about everything. His father ensured that to me. Anything that Jasen was involved with, his parents knew, and they were okay with that. They did not judge him. I envy that relationship. I mean yeah, I am close to my dad, my siblings, and was very much close to my mom… but his relationship with them went many steps further.
His father asked me to share story with the furry community when the time comes… to take the time to speak in front of a group and to mention a part of his life that he feels is paramount to the lives of others.
However, for now, all his parents ask is that the communities that Jasen was involved with (Deviantart, Furaffinity, Fetlife, Skype, twitter, Facebook, and so on) help to contribute to the expense of funeral arrangements.
His brother has set up a gofundme fundraister page. I have contributed what I could, and any little bit from anyone helps… whether it be a dollar, to whatever amount surpassing that.

It is literally just his mother and father whom are dealing with the planning and arrangements. The majority of his family is either in Michigan or in the Philippines. A death is something that is almost never planned for, that being so, it results in stress and limited time to prepare for services and such.
I am in the process of offering my services to prepare a video collage to tell the story of Jasen through imagery (photographs) that will hopefully be available during the funeral service. If anyone has photos of Jasen (preferably out of costume) please send them my way to jpa2blue[at]yahoo.com .
Besides the request for donations and photos, his parents also ask that if anyone happens to know the password to his cell phone (and email), to please contact me directly through my email so that I can relay the information to his father. It is dire that they receive that passcode in order to gain access to important information needed prior to the funeral varying from emails to phone numbers.
I am relieved to say that his parents are strong, and have a sense of peace in their hearts in knowing that they had no regrets in the relationship they had with Jasen. But being that they lost their son, they are heartbroken. I ask that for those who have any sort of faith, ask for your God(s)/ higher power/ inner self/ or whatever you may choose to refer to as, to ask that it may bring comfort to the parents of John Logenecker III AKA Jasen Tamiia.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be made. Information will be provided when it becomes available and permitted by his parents to be made public.

one thing i know from experience (having lost my step mom a few months ago) you can sometimes call the phone company that dealt with his phone and they can remote unlock it. without resetting it. if not that they can some times recover all data even stuff not on sim card. it isn't a quick move, but it's worth checking in too. thankyou for keeping us updated.

His parents have included a brief statement on the gofundme fundraiser page as to where Jasen passed, and slightly detailed as to how. They do not want to make public the details of what exactly happened that resulted in his death until AFTER the funeral, when they are ready.

It's sad to loose someone to death even in the fandom as big as the furry fandom. I did not know of this artist but my friend Mavwolf did and posted about Jasen Tamiia's death on his Facebook He was saddened by his death. I am sending positive energies to you and his family. =^.^=
