Damn, that's...that's awful. I'm so sorry. I guess taking a lot of commissions probably helped cuz it sounds like you seriously need the money. Even with insurance, an operation like that must be quite expensive.

thanks, the commission money I have saved up will keep me afloat in personal need bills while being unable to work. I currently live with my parents so they refuse to let me pay for big med bills like surgeries and such and they have pretty good insurance. I only have to cover medicine costs as a deal but being on their insurance helps with that. I'm extremely fortunate for a 24 year old in this economy, if I wasn't at home or didn't have supportive parents, I'd be dying right now.

I know how you feel. I'm 26 myself and if I didn't live at home and have supportive parents, I'd have nowhere to live either. I don't make enough money to afford my own place.

yeah, I ride the line of "I'm disabled" and "Not disabled enough" to make it on my own just yet. just when I start to think I can make a jump and move to California, I get hit hard with a medical issue and I wonder if I could even make it out on my own. The support I have here is great, but unless I were to be taken up by a studio on the spot and given good insurance, I can't physically handle anything other than commissions as work. :C

I had my gallbladder taken out a few years ago...it hurts like hell when it blows up like that so I know how you feel all too well. Only took me a few days to get over it but I can tell you this much, if you have the whole thing taken out your eating habits are going to change a bit. You won't want to eat as much and things will flow right though you...I know it's nasty sounding but....it's better than the thing blowing up inside you and killing you.

nah man that's not nasty, the explosive diarrhea I had from the CT scan fluid is what was nasty. I can deal with greasier poops if it means I don't have to deal with pain.

And not wanting to eat as much? sounds great, I need to lose weight.

Heh, I guess, granted there is a pill that can help you digest things better, as also told a nice trick to help keep your stomach from being upset right after you eat (happens to me all the time) is to take some pepto like half an hour before you eat. After they cut my guts out I almost eat like maybe 1 meal a day and how much I eat of it is smaller so that's not good at all...but yeah, it's better than dealing with the pain given it was so bad I demadned my uncle to shoot me while he was there with me.

Oh honey, I hope the surgery goes well for you. Do they know when you're going in for it? Sooner the better, in my opinion.
