Thoughts in my head... (need your opinion, please)

General
For some time ago I have had some thoughts about what I am doing to my gallery and about the image/impression it gives about the artist (me).
I have asked a very few friends about what do they think about me when they see my gallery, if they think I really like vore/hardcore/gay porn/all that mature stuff I have drawn.
I decided to make this journal to hear your opinions about what I have done up to this day with my gallery and if you could also help me to decide if I should stop drawing things that do not correspond to things that I really like and stop giving a false impression.
My points for drawing that stuff is:
1.- They are mostly gift art for people who like that stuff.
2.- It helps me to practice my drawings.
3.- It gives my gallery a variety of categories for my watchers.
My points for what I think I should not draw that stuff:
1.- I am supposed to draw what I like to draw.
2.- It gives a bad impression of my persona.
3.- The variety is not welcomed by several people. (for example, people that do not like me to show vore stuff mixed with what they like)
(sorry if this is confusing as I have had a tough time trying to explain this)
Secondly, about the dog Yamikari
I just want to clarify that many people think that he is my real fursona, but he is not, and I designed him just after creating the real one, he was made of several things that were of my personal liking/tastes instead of things that represent me. You might have heard me say that he shares things about me and that is correct too, but that's mainly because I was the one who created him, so it's obvious that he will have some of my personal characteristics/traits or personality.
Well, there were more things I wrote but I erased them because I couldn't express them fine.
I would like to see first what do you have to say about this.

FA+

In the end it should be you the one that's having fun drawing. :3
I don't get why it gives a bad impression, but humans are weird.
My gallery has a mix of stuff as well, and I'm perfectly fine with featuring mixed content.
Thank you
dont pander to the masses =P theres plenty of fetishes and porn on FA already
I would say that draw what you feel like drawing; even if the things you feel like drawing at the moment aren't the things you generally like. The impression you're giving shouldn't matter too much (I know it always does..), people should learn that artists don't always personally represent the things they draw. It's just like you said it; we draw variety of things for several reasons. ^^
And if the things you like to draw/feel like drawing collide with general opinion of the people, and you feel like you don't want to give them that impression, there's also a solution: Draw, but do not post. ^^
Como si dibujas furries decapitados, no creo que piensen que te gusta decapitar a la gente y que en realidad eres un asesino D:
Por mi, no tengo problemas con dibujar furries decapitados, pero luego las personas son las que me van a odiar o pensar mal de mi.
You draw what you want to draw. If someone doesn't like what you do... Heck, tell the guy / girl to stop watching you. As the saying goes, it's impossible to please everyone. ;P
And well, while a fursona is a proxy of the person in the furdon, yeah, whenever you draw Yamikari in x situation, it's a telltale saying "I'd do that", "that's how I like to happen", "in real life wouldn't be so different", and so on. Most people assume that whatever happens to their fursona would happen just alike with the real you.
But the problem is that those people think I do what my fursona does and that's not for real :/
There's ups and downs either way. If you like giving gifts to people, I'd suggest to keep doing that and not worry about an impression!
Alternatively maybe you could make one of your two accounts a giftart account? And draw what you want on the normal account.
I think people normally have "Commission" accounts for that reason; They want to separate what they like from what other people like that they drew.
^w^ take care
Glad to help!
