I am so fucking sick of the bullshit I have to endure from these close minded egotistical pricks.
The first store I worked at, the man above me was a VERY passionate Christian. While I was there, he took several employees to a private place and preached to them about how wrong it was to be homosexual, he preached to one about her worship of Satan, and he actually took me out to the lobby and told me I was in a bad mood because my mom had cancer and I knew that if she died, her Native American religious beliefs would prevent her from going to Heaven. On a less serious note, he once told me that all books and TV shows that didn't get you closer to God were a complete and total waste of time. When I mention the Divine Comedy which CHRONICLES THE ASCENT THROUGH HELL, PURGATORY, AND HEAVEN, he tells me it's a waste because Purgatory doesn't really exist. Ugh.... This fucker, the day I got away with him, I fucking breathed a sigh of relief.
Now I'm at another location. The new person is below me. And I am trying so fucking hard to be nice. She has the balls to tell me I'm a bad person and have a nasty soul because I don't go to church and I make fun of people. Really? So she always has this shitty, piss poor attitude with me, and is always looking down on me. today, I accidentally bumped into her while we were busy and she goes "You're so rude and unprofessional." When I apologized and told her it was an accident, she tells me I'm a bad person and a jerk, I'm supposed to be the boss. Before I could stop myself, I responded "Yeah? And you're supposed to be Christian but look how hateful you are." That's probably going to come back and bite me, but whatever...
I used to go to church every Sunday when I was younger. I was told Christians are loving, compassionate, beacons of morality, and accepting. But look at the mess I have to deal with! On top of that, the only Christians I really interact with outside of work, one thinks verbal abuse and harassment is a form of love while being one of the most violent self-righteous and hateful people I knew, one chewed me out because I told him Happy Holidays instead of Merry Fucking Christmas, on top of the threats he made towards me and the hateful things he said when I revealed to him that someone else had been lying to him for years, and the final one... Well, on top of how hateful he is towards anyone who disagrees with him and doesn't cater to him, you can put his name into Google and the third entry is him on his back with a big black censored bar across his crotch.
I'm sorry, I know religion is a good thing, I believe in the pillars of Christianity and faith, I try to be the best person I can be. But I don't understand why so many of the "Shining Paragons of Humanity" that I'm surrounded by are so hateful, so abusive, and just plain outright BAD people.
I don't mean to offend but I am so frustrated right now. I just needed to vent. I apologize to anyone I upset...

Most of us agnostics and atheists literally could not care less what people believe in, we just prefer to not have that belief rammed in our faces like the biggest dick at a porn studio, ya know? But as soon as we say we don't believe in God, suddenly we are attacking their faith and persecuting their beliefs. Its insane!
If I offend someone and I'm wrong, I apologize. If I offend someone because they're a snowflake and can't hack reality, they can eat shit.
And yeah, christianity has good moral values, but so does Islam, Judaism Hinduism, Pastafarian, Scientology etc, but that's because we're biologically wired to be affectionate to our own species. because if we weren't we'd go extinct. The difference between religious morality and biological morality is religion instills fear with bullshit logic, convoluted stories and a magical big brother upstairs that'll FUCK YOUR SHIT UP if you don't do exactly what he says.

Sorry all that happened to you though :/ I was always taught Church does not make you a Christian. It's your faith and beliefs that make your Christianity. Anyone can go to church and claim they are Christian but when they step out of the building they act completely different from their persona in the church.
I'm not trying to preach and I won"t drag it out but I'm sorry all that happened and hope things get much better for ya
Why are some Christians being strict about their religion I'll never know. The holidays are over, and they should not dis holidays of other religions like Hanukkah or Kwanzaa. And just because we're Christians it does not mean we have to go to Church every single Sunday. Some Christians don't even go to church. Some can't even go to church due to work, sickness, on vacation, and so on and so forth.
Shade, I'm sorry you had to go through that, and they should never have done the things you say they did. We are Christians because we believe in Jesus Christ our lord and savior and that's all that matters. A true Christian would follow Jesus's example and spread love and joy to family and friends. And the people who claims that Jesus is not the son of god are those of the Islamic State.
*hugs* Don't let those people get to you. If you don't go to church then that's fine, they should at least respect that. You never offended me, Shade, and I don't think you ever will. I just hope things will work out better for you.
And I know this will rile feathers, but I dislike when people say this....But Religion isn't good; Faith, is. Faith is what usually brings the good out in people, and tells them to be compassionate and open towards those around them, Religion doesn't. Religion's why things have gotten this bad.

I've grown up with family members in different Christian sects trying to force me to "convert". I've seen, heard and been in similar situations of people claiming to Christian yet they'll do some of the despicable and shameful things it'll make Jesus Himself facepalm. You can pull up every historical/scientific/ancestral/Bibical fact links to put the bigoted trolls on their asses to the floor but once they'll get butthurt they'll plug up their ears, stomp their feet and scream like a bitch.

The sad thing about today is that lots of people are so egear to hate, well its a long standing thing in humanity. For some, the bible gives them reasons to hate. But they dig a hole with their ignorence. Nothing excuses their actions. Maybe it was wrong to tell that girl that. But it sounds like she honestly needed to hear that.

Yes, if 100% of a species was homosexual, it would cause massive problems, however the chance of that happening is unbelievably small. That's not the point of this, however. If you agree with the gentleman who wanted to persecute homosexuals working for him, then that is your right, but do realize that what he was doing was actually something that would have caused him a massive amount of legal trouble, had anyone chose to come forward with information of his actions. Therefore, regardless of your personal opinions regarding homosexuality, his behavior is wrong and hateful, which was the point of this journal.

Last I remember, Christ's accomplice was a prostitute and also associated with quite a few other disreputable people as well, but ya know. What would Jesus do? Keep in mind freaking out and flipping tables is always an option.

Thing I would bring up with your superior is "Judge not lest ye be judged" and for your subordinate, reference how Christians were not to be disobedient to secular authority ("render that which is Caeser's unto Caesar") provided it doesn't violate biblical law.

I had given up on magic after a witch at high school said what I did was not real, making me realize:
a. someone belonging to a really marginalized religion thinks they can tell me what I think is wrong even after dealing with that from Christians.
b. christians had to deal with this shit also in the past before taking over for themselves.
c. the Native American side of my ancestry would be embarrassed and call me a "wannabe" or "plastic" Native American, when at the same time their traditional beliefs are ridiculed.
so d. it is all just a stupid superiority game that excuses people from being conscientious, and I should just get out of it all together.
Believe what you want, and power over those using their own beliefs as a tool to belittle and fuck over you or anyone else.
