How'd you first get into the macro/furry fandom?

Well I've always been into giant monsters since I was young and when I first came across the furry fandom, before I even joined it, the first picture I saw was macro related; I think it was one of Cougr's pieces IIRC. After looking on e621 and lurking around on FA for quite sometime, I became interested in the macro community and eventually joined.


Who, if anyone, would you say is a big influence on your work?

I'd say the folks that have influenced me the most have been: Galactor, Neopuc and Mr. Exilo.

Reading their work early on gave me the confidence to push forward and work on my own stuff. "City Destruction" wouldn't have been possible without me reading their work in the first place. Even today, there are writers in the community whose stories have helped me learn some new techniques. The two biggest things I struggle with are dialogue and "showing not telling" and looking at the work of others is helping me figure out how to successfully overcome those issues.

Favorite theme...hmm...that's tough. I guess I'll be cliche and say destruction.

Yes, I do like ducks.

And what I like best about the fandom has to be the social aspect. People are so friendly, and willing to put forth an effort to get to know you. It's probably the biggest reason why I joined.

What was the original inspiration of Sylen, and what is your favorite food and tv show? Also, what do you hear?

What was the original inspiration of Sylen

Sylen was supposed to be a direct representation of myself. Originally, he had the same traits, likes, fears and what not as me. Honestly, I had no intention of making him into a macro. I have a fox OC that I wrote about the most and would've likely used him in stories, artwork, etc. going forward.

But as you can see I decided to take Sy in a different direction and I love the way its turned out.

favorite food and tv show?

My favorite food is ribs and my favorite TV show is House of Cards. If we're talking all time then its Invader Zim.

I hear the bees. They're plotting world domination as we speak. :V
