Long story short, my charger is starting to go. I've had this computer for going on 4 years, so its not very surprising. It can hold a charge, but the charger/port is very touchy. Knowing that things can only get worse, I will probably have to replace my charger in the future, which could prove to be a difficult challenge. Replacing a charger for a 2012 model will likely not be cheap, and the loss of my charger could leave me without a personal computer for a while, which would definitely effect my work, especially digital.
None of this is a problem as of right now, but this is just a future warning. I am not sure if the problem is with the charger or the charging port. On my old laptop (now 8+ years old) the charger does not even fit in the charging port any longer, and the battery is completely dead, so the computer is practically unusable. I would hate for something like that to happen again, especially since this computer has been such a trooper.

I've got the same issue with my computer (most likely a battery problem on mine), it's been kicking for a year or so like that, but I can't go for more than 15 minutes off the charger without the screen going black, and then I have to shut it down. Seriously need a new computer too ;n;

Be careful, I've had a laptop go bad on me before that somehow destroyed chargers: bought 2 replacements and they both died within a week. I don't know how to check for that, but figured I'd let you know that's possible. Chargers tend to not be fairly expensive, though, at least the ones I've seen!
