words only hurt you if you let them, everyone in the world is just a pile of shit and spew stuff out because they are unhappy/tired/afraid or a combination of personal reasons. people are social creatures so our need to conform is great, try to remove yourself from places or people who constantly put you down. Also dont work in customer service jobs, people are entitled assholes.

You start by understanding it's OK to feel hurt. You're only human. Then you do your best to appreciate yourself because you're worth your own love. Finally you find a few folks you trust who you know accept you for who and what you are and you work on nurturing your bond with them and you develop a 'fuck you I don't deserve to think less of myself' attitude when dealing with anyone who gives you shit.

I know it's not that easy. Some days it's downright hard but things will get better. You just gotta love and believe in yourself more and not be afraid to lean on good people when you find them. Just don't let it turn your heart cynical and bitter because you deserve better than that.

Also make sure when you double down on the 'fuck you I'm going to appreciate my own art/things I like/self and if you don't appreciate me it's your loss' attitude don't let it turn you into an asshole. Trust me-there are a lot of great supportive and compassionate people out there. Become that kind of person to yourself and to others. That's the best way to help reduce the number of judgmental assholes by at least 1. Every little bit helps.
