there's an official Bank of America app, so if you bank with BofA, get that for sure...

a lot of video game companies are making iPod touch ports of their games, like Katamari, DDR, Time Crisis, Galaga etc., so do a search for Namco, Konami, etc.

For sure get TapDefense, good ol defending tower game, free, and fun as hell

RemotePad lets you use your iPod touch as a wireless touchpad for your computer, although you also need to run the server client .exe on your computer as well.

Shotgun Free is a good lil shotgun simulator, your iPod becomes the cocking handle :P (Don't get the pro version, no need to)

Most apps are intended for the iPhone, honestly. They're intended to be used on a data plan or use the iPhone's camera/mic (although the iPod can have a mic, it's sold separately).

Most apps offered are with iPhone in mind, so stuff like "WiFi Locator" and such won't work as intended on your iPod touch.

I figured as much, I don't really care for the iPhone marketed apps like that, just want some fun and handy ones like you listed.
