Usually helps when you mention to friends or a roomshare chat that you are looking for roomspace at a certain con. Brejar is waiting to hear back from the person we are rooming with to see if it's okay. If it was our room, we would LOVE to have you.

It's not very often I get invited to share a room with someone. Most of the time I have to ask for roommates (if I reserved the room) or ask for room space (if I didn't). I'd be happy to share a room with you next time we're at the same convention.

I never get invited too as well unless I ask for it. I've never really thought anything of it. I actually like being in control of the room situation anyway since I know I can rely on having a room when I get there.

I'm usually preferring to pick our roommates as we've had bad experiences letting others control that in the past, I like to know who I'm rooming with and that they're reliable. Lately though we've settled into rooming with the same regular people that we see often.

It helps if you have a regular group, and being invited to room isn't necessarily anything. You could get invited, have roommates you hate but you can't say anything because you're not the room leader, and then end up disliking everyone in the room. I have maybe been invited to room twice, but often I am also proactive and prefer to ask others than be asked.

Anytime you want a roommate I'd be happy to room with you! I actually prefer to be the one asking, so I usually get a room and ask people to room with me.

If you ask, I'll say "Yes." :)
