Not flattering at all...

... if you try to copy me, my style, exact poses or on the pixel exact colour schemes. I think it's totally fine to get inspiration for colours or poses, referencing is FINE. You can take colours and poses from were you want and use it how you want, but not if it comes out as exactly the same thing and you sell it as an original work.
But. I don't think it flattering at all if I get notes with people telling me that others literally trace my poses or parts of my characters/adopts and sell those to buyers who don't have a clue about that. Same with style elements. Everyone knows my paws are way bigger than normal for example, why would anyone copy this? I mean, no I am not flattered. You take someone elses work and sell it for your own profit. It saddens me, really, that some people do feel the need to do that, that they don't have enough self-confidence to make their own, original works. Now I have to 'run' around and make sure that at least the buyers of the originals know? I feel sorry for them, because they thought they would get something original and unique.
Rant over.
Sad Mimi.

na, vielleicht hören deren "kunden" zu, wenn man sie auf die sache aufmerksam macht, und ziehen ihre bezahlung zurück. dann hat sich das schnell erledigt.
aber, nunja. kann man nicht viel machen.
I was confused st first, but I didn't know what to do.
How many others were copying off your style that you know of?
Yeah, that does sound like it'd be really annoying.Your style and how you work with it is exclusive to you. I don't know how anyone can think they can get away it, when it's not their own style they developed.
Hopefully they'll stop after this. :c
Your adoptables are some of the best I've seen, however.
Edit: Wow the portfolio thing. I have no words, really.
Uhh... That's rude. <__<; Did they understand what they did wrong? Lesson learned?
Nah don't want you to be sad... your style is unique and I'll always do my best to make people know about it ! <3
and daw hun thanks. will have the sketches for your cards ready tomorrow <3
Meh, just wuv' your art <3 Oh great ! Thank you !
I just moved accounts due to people stealing my oc, (you actually drew him for that free raffle lol) I got super fed up with it. They always gave me bs excuses like "You can't copyright hairstyles and colors used" but like.. IT WAS MY EXACT OC??? I still love that oc but now when I draw him I just get this cringe on the inside because I fear the stealing will continue if I draw him.
Still hoping to someday get an egg from you OTL X'D
But yeah, full on tracing? Lifting directly from your adopts, etc? That shit's fucked up. :/ People shouldn't do that kind of thing.
I just... urgh...
I mean, I'm highly lenient with my own stuff, but I'm sorry that you have to put up with this sort of thing with your own.
That's not awesome at all.
But yeah... I agree, anything one sells should be from their own effort. Not a rehash of what someone else has done, with not even a little of the heart put into it.
And not lifting other people's styles, ffs. :T It's disappointing, and not fair to those who buy the work, imo.
