Earlier this month, Bic Lee, one of Anthrocon's sign language interpreters, was stabbed in the chest during an attempted robbery and was badly wounded. His work as an interpreter has made Anthrocon accessible to so many deaf and hard-of-hearing people who otherwise would have been left out at various con events. He is expected to recover, but faces a long rehabilitation and an inability to work as an interpreter to pay for his hospital bills.
