Construction again... and something else

So I've gone back to work in construction again. It's been two years since I left it, but jesus... I have forgotten about the work load. I got too comfortable in my last job and now I'm just worn out after 5 hours... had another 5 more to go, but felt like forever. Now I just want to crash in my bed and do nothing, but I have promises to finish.
Lastly, I've been told that background for my work is not necassary, but I still feel uneasy. I want to better myself in the subject. What do you guys think... should i do commissions without backgrounds or what?

Though whether it's just a color fill or full BG, guess that 's all up to you.
...It's like a cheeseburguer, you will charge more for extra cheese, right? Even though it already has cheese.
