So have been neglecting things here and other places due to the passing of my father on the 12th of this month.

It was sudden and fast and because of how quickly everything occurred still not seeming real to me. I happened to be in the other room from him when it all started and heard him wheezing and went to see if he was okay. He had been fighting a nagging cough for a month and figured it was just more of it. He was having a hard time breathing and I asked if he was okay and he could only give me a raspy "No". I started to put on shoes to drive him to the ER when he slumped back in his chair and I just jumped over him and the chair to get to the phone to call 911.

Managed to roll my ankle in doing that but didn't notice how bad until much later due to adrenaline rush and once getting them on speaker ran back to start CPR on dad as he was non responsive at that point. Paramedics and ambulance were all here in a minute with the station just two blocks from the house. They were able to get a pulse but within two hours it was all for nothing as his heart had just given up. Years ago he had a minor heart attack that as the cardiologist put it "If we didn't have you hooked up and actually watched you have a issue just now I'd never even think you'd have had a problem."

Later today is his viewing and tomorrow the funeral so will be a new start of a rough period for my remaining family so if I vanish for a while it's just because of dealing with things.
