So last Thursday I finally got to go see the doctor I've been dying to see for months. I THOUGHT he was an endocrinologist. Nope. Just your standard run of the mill general practitioner. With a specialization in hormone therapy. Woot. Which means, of course, my insurance can't say no since he's not a specialist! Buuut, what I was anticipating to be a ten minute discussion and a yay or nay turned into an hour and a half long discussion, a full blown physical, and ended with him taking quite a bit of my blood to run all sorts of tests. So! Provided those tests don't come back and say I'm dying.... I get to start hormones officially on February 8th ^.^ Starting with oral for 6 weeks at an advanced rate to get my body used to it, then making the leap to injections. Not gonna lie. I'm excited.
