Oh, baby teeth I wiggled loose too when they were ready. I think everyone had one pop out in school unintentionally at one point. :)

I don't know if you had any removed before. This might be redundant...sorry. It's just good to know.

Wisdom teeth extraction will require an X-ray to know how the root goes. If possible, know in advance if you are allergic to shellfish, and if codeine bothers you. (For allergy reasons due to painkillers, and codeine due to yukky tummy.) You won't remember falling asleep while counting backwards. (Very few use Nitrous Oxide / laughing gas now. You woke as happy as a lark.)

Don't eat for a couple hours after. The numbing agent is strong. Have someone to drive you.

Luckily, the swelling in my gums around this wisdom tooth is going down and I can eat again--I assume that because I was sick, everything in my mouth was just sensitive

I do plan on getting this thing taken out after MAGFest, though. It's super annoying

well lets look at this realistically.....

when they remove a tooth, its usually exposed on the surface. (I assume your wisdom tooth isnt, but I could be wrong!)
they numb it up, cut the tissue around it all the way down to the root, and use something similar to a wine bottle opener to remove the tooth..

basically, it latches onto the tooth and uses the teeth around it to push off of.

all of this while you are numbed up.

ALSO! make sure to RESEARCH DRY SOCKET BEFORE YOU HAVE THE TOOTH PULLED SO YOU CAN KNOW WHAT TO DO.
ALSO! /DEMAND/ ANTIBIOTICS. why? Because you could get blood poisoning and die. :|

Huh my mom never had her wisdom teeth grow and mine hurt but it wasn't too bad like they didn't try to pull em in boot camp
