Yes! We are planning to make more!
The 8 demo units built for FurtherConfusion survived 5 days in the headless lounges! Acid test passed. Good info gained for V2 tweaks
The laser cutting does need some work yet. The 60watt machine was pushing too much heat into the plastic sheet, an it began to bow, knocking the laser out of alignment for the next pass. Low power meant less warping, but far too many passes. 1/4" HDPE may not be the way to go ^.^ Delrin or Acrylic next. Want to keep it somewhat flexible, to prevent any shattering.
And with the new version planed to be USB, they will be less powerful, but far more universally usable. Most folks have 5V usb chargers for their various tech, even a USB battery could do in a pinch for remote-suiting options. (Camping? BurningMan?)
For conventions, the 12V server fan model worked nicely. We could figure out power ahead of time, and get the correct 120 or 240 adapters. Most ran at 12V 1A, some had the full 12V/3A, and were exceptionally angry beasties at full tilt. :D
Fun stuff ^.^
