ANE 2016 Recap + maybe FurTheMore?

╭━━━━━━━━━━ ✩ COMMISSIONS ARE CLOSED! ✩ ━━━━━━━━━━╮
Crazdude Shop ✩ Prices ✩ Terms of Service ✩ Queue ✩ FAQ Wow, ANE was awesome! I wasn't nearly as overwhelmed as I was at my first con (AC2015 which was HUGE) but I was still exhausted after being there from Thursday through Monday x___X. It also didn't rock that my car was trapped in a parking garage from Friday Midnight until Monday morning...
But there were so many awesome things, great people, meet ups with friends and fellow artists!
I got to hang out with
and Husband (and even slept under a desk for one night thanks to the snow xD)
I was so happy to meet up with some RIT furs there and get some photos taken with them since there were about 9 of us there! So random!
I got to hang out with
and talk about potentially selling at FurTheMore! I think he's essentially my new cheerleader/business adviser for Furry Cons and I couldn't be more grateful! <3
I also got to meet
(after being friends for like 10yrs online!!), 
(ERMEGERD ERRGITERRR), 
, 
, and more!
Such a fun, tight-knit show and it was awesome that we helped raise $11,000 for the MA Vest-A-Dog organization!! I look forward to attending ANE again!
But in the meantime, I'm trying to see what's up next... If I go to FurTheMore, it would be a heck of a drive and I wouldn't be able to squeeze into the Dealer's den (just Artist Alley) but I have been offered to crash with Nighty. Plus, I'd be able to visit some of my friends on the way; my BFF is in central PA and my friend from drama classes and college days lives 20 mins away from the convention! I currently have a conflict (10am-5pm Saturday art show... I hope my husband can cover for it...)

Thanks for the nudge again, bub! I think my hubby was worried I was focusing too much on the furry fandom and I told him this is supplementary to the children's books and such. If I'm gonna sit around and do art, I might as well get paid doing it or at least self-promote at a convention!
(Also tell your hubby there's nothing wrong with furry art and it's just as feasible a career as childen's books.....if not moreso because the children's book industry is in the shitter at the moment)

I hope I get to see you at Rochester, NY's FurryCon! It is mere minutes away from me! We haz guest bedroom that I may be able to offer to some weary travelers! ;)
Seriously, I'll tack that on my "Con" list for the future! I don't think I'd be able to go this year, but definitely sometime! :D
And you're so right about the Scavenger Hunt of Friendship! Im usually SUPER shy and nervous, but everyone at ANE was super chill and easy to hang out with, I'm so glad that I went and met all of you guys! Now you're not just a cute FA icon :D
