Here's some music to suit my very dichotomous mood.
Side A:
The Dresden Dolls, "Good Day"
Dixie Chicks, "Not Ready to Make Nice"
Dirty Pretty Things, "Bang Bang You're Dead"
Side B:
Carpenters, "(They Long to Be) Close to You"
Nobuo Uematsu, "Final Fantasy"
Goo Goo Dolls, "Iris"

And with Goo Goo Dolls, I've only had a few tracks tossed in my direction by friends. The eight or so select songs I've heard I've really enjoyed.
I'm looking at this playlist now and realizing I must be in a very pop-y mood lately!
"Dizzy Up The Girl" is the album my friends have been raving for years, but I haven't picked up. I've got three tracks from "Gutterflower". The riff on Big Machine's pretty catchy! I saw them play a show on some television program, maybe it was Austin City Limits, enjoyed it despite only knowing a handful of songs.
