Good luck there. I find it rather weird that some parents make such a fuss about sexual orientation instead of thinking of their child's health and happiness first. If somebody knows how they feel then it's not the parents but the child. <:3

Asexual, that should be easier than bisexual or homosexual, just explain you aren't interested in sexual experiences with another person. You could even go so far as to say you've vowed celibacy if they're the religious sort.

actually in most cases it's almost worse, people see asexuality as an active choice. More often then not everyone just assumes it's either that you dont want commitment or that you just dont know what you want yet. It's barely even recognized as a thing by most of the population

Worked well enough for me when I told my folks, the whole vow of celibacy thing since they're very religious. Yeah I've never had a desire to engage in copulation (or any other form of sex really) and I don't see it as a choice, but I don't care if others think it is. I might just be weird for feeling that way though

I honestly don't see what's wrong with Asexuality.
I mean, there's nothing wrong that can come from it, only that children can't be made.
Is it just because your family just wants to see you have children and grandchilden?
Other than that, I don't see anything wrong with it. After all, it's just like abstinance. <:)

I don't know your parents, or what asexuality means to them, but it seems like "lack of sexual interest" is relatively mundane and none of their business. Trying to convince someone that they should really get started on sexual activity and (presumably) baby-making is just about the strangest and most awkward family conversation I can think of.

It sounds to me you're about to get one of those soul crushing 'fantasy world' lynchings, so to speak, where your interests are put into question.

Although I haven't been accused of it, my brother is the logical sort and rants that homosexuals live in a sexual fantasy world, and are selfish for not procreating. We are put on this world to go out and live and spread our genes.

Though I can see this, that on the other hand is selfish for not letting them be who they are- not to say there isn't a limit to that too. There is a point where one is but a spoiled child for crying "I'll do what I want".
Balance. I've heard and believe to be the key to life.

I'm not saying you are like this, just speaking my mind on the matter.
