I've always been a rather picky eater but over the last few years I've decided that I want to try new things and possibly bring a little more diversity to my diet. Anyone have any recommendations they think I should try out?

We've actually tried a lot of Filipino entrees down here, mom's previous employers were Filipino and invited us to a lot of Filipino associations back in the day.
Some foods I like very much that are a bit exotic: sushi, pad thai, vegan food, pierogis and haluski, gumbo, and French dishes. Many countries have a national dish, and when they're well-prepared, they're generally excellent.
