'Over Time' by Kyell Gold: A Review.
So yesterday, the ebook version of 'Over Time' by Kyell Gold, the fifth and final book in the Dev and Lee series, was released, meaning I could finally read it. I bought it and proceeded to spend nine hours reading the whole thing in one go. It's still sort of sinking in, my mind is still processing it, but I wanted to write a little something about it. I will be avoiding spoilers here. I might very well write something else about this book and the whole series at another time, something more specific and spoiler-filled. I'm certainly tempted to do so.
If anyone missed my previous journal regarding this series, what it's about, and what I thought of it, you can find it here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/6333309/
Right, so on to Over Time. In this book, with the football season over, Dev and Lee attempt to figure out the future of their relationship, a process complicated by them being caught up in the drama and problems of various family and friends.
What can I say about this book? I love the series and I love the characters, so yeah, I loved this book. It was so great to get to read some more of Dev and Lee. I do feel a degree of sadness at having reached the end of their story, even though it was a sweet and satisfying ending. I do hope Kyell Gold revisits these guys at some point in the future.
Overall, 'Over Time' feels quite an optimistic book. Despite the problems and difficulties faced by the characters and not everything ending well for everyone, it is ultimately a very hopeful and uplifting story about dealing with the changes life throws at you. It's about accepting who you are. It's about facing the future, whatever it may bring. At least, that's my opinion, my interpretation.
The story did manage a few shocks and surprises along the way, as well as fun moments, sweet moments , heart-warming moments, drama and romance. Basically, all the stuff the series as a whole has been very good at. So, if you enjoyed the previous books in the series, you'll like this one too.
So yeah, if you haven't got the message yet, this is another book I whole-heartedly recommend!

Any chance you might be persuaded to put a version of this review on the vendor sites? [/evilcorgi]

OP
I could put something up on Bad Dog Books, but I'm not sure I'd be allowed to put up a review on sites where I didn't buy it...
