How to PINGAS a song?

Many of you have heard of the "This Video Contains ETC" videos, and the variations of PINGASed songs
Mortal PINGAS
Darth PINGAS
and the ever-famous Through the PINGAS and Flames
But I was wondering if anyone knows how to go about PINGASing a song? Is it a complex task involving midis and instruments, or a tedious and meticulous process where every PINGAS is matched to its specific note?
The reason I need this information is because I've been requested (by my ginger bastard cousin) to produce a PINGASed Ruby Soho, by Rancid.
