viva la vida was their last good effort. i mean they had come so far from alt rock and went into full blown art rock/experimentation with help from brian eno. as a mainstream group it was a super risky move and it impressed me!

And then Ghost Stories was a bunch of generic electronic pop music, such a let down after Viva la Vida :(

For me it was Mylo Xyloto or whatever that was. Just seemed really silly and self-conscious. Viva La Vida will always be their best album I guess (thanks Brian Eno)

The Prospekt's March EP after Viva was the height of my Coldplay fandom. Now i really would call myself a fan the Viva era rather than actually a Coldplay-liker. Rush of blood and X&Y had some great songs too, though X&Y is pretty damn soppy and floppy (bring on the porn jokes)

Yeah, I didn't mind Mylo Xyloto too much, but it was a definite drop in quality over their earlier album. I don't even care enough to look up their newer album after the mess that Ghost Stories was though; I really wish I didn't pay money for it :/

I'll make sure to keep ignoring it then. And this new album seems like the silliest yet. It's like theyre trying really hard to be Where the Wild Things are image-wise probably cuz Arcade Fire had musi in that movie or something. I dont know. Point is, i feel like since Viva it seems so dishonest and thyre just trying really hard to...sound really Coldplay-y

Which is sad; they went from being my favorite band to a group I literally can't find the time to care about anymore :(

Yeah, Super Bowl is just "meh" to me, I only like one or two songs from Coldplay, but I just cannot get "those damn Zootopia Tigers" out of my head. lol

Super Bowl is MEH to me, and I never found Coldplay good. I'm also tired of the tigers, but that's because there are actual NUDISTS in Zootopia that don't have anything of them. :/

idk why furries are so hyped up about zootopia, its just like every other anthropomorphic animation the only difference is they directly say that its a furry thing.. so far it didnt seem like a good movie on its own

I think it's too early to judge it right off the bat. I mean, people did the same with kung fu panda 3, saying "oh it's a triquel it's gonna suck", and then it ends up being just as good (if not sightly better) than the second film

Also I think the reason why it's hyped is because unlike Robin Hood/Kung Fu Panda/Chicken Little is that the characters are not stylized to one theme, though the creator didn't say it was a furry film, just a nod to the fact that they know we exist

Kung fu panda started with deceptive advertising for young children and ended up having a deep plot, but given the scope of the world zootopia has shown the ENTIRE joke is 'haha animal people'. i just think people are thinking with their dicks about this movie and defending it. its for young children and even if it has a shred of emotional payoff its just going to be some cliche'd message about friendship. its a buddy cop movie, i cant expect much.

You also have the nudist scene, along with the mere mention that drugs are involved, since some people are claiming that disney is a conservative company (hardly). Back then they would hide this stuff, now it's "out in the open" for everyone to see

I mean, to each and their own when it comes to what movies people like, but, Disney knows what they are doing, while at the same time, not really giving a shit about what they show at this point. IDK, i'm already excited about it for other reasons, so eh.

The tigers scream gay-bait to me (in a good way) even if it's not intended to be that way. Just creating these guys is crossing the line with Disney, which is also a good thing because I want to see overprotected parents scream and rant over nothing like they usually do
