Prints For Sale + Story

Having a pretty rough day. I'll tell you why in a good news, bad news sort of way
Good news: My artwork was put up for sale at a real honest to god art show this weekend. I had 4 total copies from my woodblock print series for sale, and one of the prints did sell! This is the print in question http://viseriongrey.tumblr.com/post.....e-style-of-art
Bad news: The artwork was sold for the wrong price, fully 1/4th the price that I was asking for.
Good news: I was promised compensation from the art gallery for their mistake
Bad news: Because of legal reasons, I can only receive the full amount of money that was paid to the gallery.
I priced my work for $60. If my work would have sold for that price, I would receive $30, while the other half would be donated to the art gallery.
The artwork was mis-priced at $15 instead of $60, so I will now receive $15 instead of $30
As you can imagine, I am definitely not happy about this. At least the mistake was caught after the first print had sold, but I feel that my efforts to correct the price mistake might have hurt my ability to sell more prints. Even when fixing the price in permanent marker, you could still see the old price underneath. I am sure that people would wonder why the price was suddenly 4x more, but that was the price it was supposed to be sold at! Not $15!
I don't know how such a glaring mistake could have been made. I do believe that it was an honest mistake, but one that has cost me up to $120 (the total amount I would have received if all 4 prints had sold)
That being said, I now have 3 framed copies of this print for sale. I'm asking $45 each plus shipping. The frames are 11x17 inches
I also have unframed copies of this same print in other colors for $30 plus shipping. The unframed pieces are of various sizes. If you would like them to be framed, they will cost $45 + shipping.

FA+

But hey, it still sold, the mistake was fixed, you've got some publicity. More pros than cons in the situation. ^__^
