My girlfriend and I are calling off our relationship. Nothing drastic or anything; we're still friends and all that. We just found it too difficult to connect with each other.

I guess I have my proof now that I am not meant to find someone.

I don't think anyone is meant not to find someone, I think they just need to find the right someone, or they just don't mesh well into those types of relationships.

Long distance relationships are the most difficult to maintain. Whey you're together, they're awesome. The rest of the time, even if you talk to each other every day, is still a lonely time, and you might as well be single.

It is not proof that you are not meant to find someone. It just means this was not the right relationship for you.

Sorry to hear about this, but good to hear that at least you're still friends with her. Don't be to soon to give up regarding that, as I myself have dealt with an awful lot of terrible romances then ended badly for me, but I'm still holding out on finding the right woman for me.
