Hernias are damage in a tissue structure which doesn't repair itself. So, it doesn't get better, it stays the same or gets worse.

If it's small, it's relatively easy to repair. I've had the surgery done and it went home that evening. Granted, I was in a lot of pain and couldn't move properly for a month. It can be done laproscopically, which hurts less. The kind I had involved more cutting, so there was a longer recovery period.

It really isn't that bad. You'll get a lot of painkillers and not feel much at all.

Well, it is something to be concerned about. Don't let a rational fear turn into an irrational fear. Learn as much as you can and it should make it easier. For the most part, you're unconscious. The recovery is the difficult part.

You can't move the way you used to, the pain makes you worry something is wrong. It's something that has to be endured and takes a while. The waiting for it to be healed gets annoying.

But I have sensitive skin sasta! How the heck does it to get entirely healed after going under for a surgery huh

You end up with a line, and you have to massage the area so the scar tissue is flexible. It just heals, you change bandages frequently, twice a day I think.

as for sugery, ive had surgery done on me at least 3 times, my left arm(broken when i was young), my right big toe(tape cutter and me running around barefoot) and on my head(had to get 3 layers of stiches for that 1)

but yeah medicine has improved A LOT so dont be scared of the unknown, know and learn what you need to go through first ok

i litterally saw them sew my big toe back up, as for pain youll most likely be under heavy anestetics and be perscribed alot of pain killers too
