Volatikai Myths

I just suddenly had the idea that some groups of people in their world would have myths about Volatikai. Or even specific sub types.
There WILL be different religions in the world as well, based off of ones in our own world. Because of that, it's very easy to come up with myths about various things. They can be simple or be very in depth.
I'm currently thinking up a new character (human, and he'd actually end up being with Quill later on) and he'll have had learned myths about Volatikai that he'd heavily believe in. One very simple one could be that "Volatikai are demons from hell that live on the planet trying to steal the souls of the good." Super simple. Then other ones that could be based on eye color or were forms or how they act in general since they are vastly different from humans when it comes to certain things (like behavior while in the wild).

Aquatic Volatikai could be reincarnations of people drowned in rivers and lake or creatures/demons that took half-human form from the people they lured in the water and drowned. Similar stuff could apply to every type, like people who got lost in the mountains transformed/evolved into Volatikai to find their way back home by flying, people who died in the desert got reshaped by the sands into "fennec-like" creatures, kids that lived with a certain animal could become a Volatikai, etc
