Appearance
Small rodent creatures, with features that are much like a flying squirrel and a rat.
Males and females are usually the same size, about 1ft in height with a length of about 3ft, including their tails. Excess flaps of skin connect all four of their limbs, enabling them to glide from high places using their tails as rudders. Known to have wide eyes and large ears.
Life
Squeeps are nocturnal, with their eyes adapted for dark settings. They live up high in trees and are solitary in nature. Their diet consists of insects, fruits, and nuts.
Their average life span is 7-8 years.
Mates and Breeding
A female in heat will call to males using loud chatters and chirps. Males will try to impress females with acrobatic glides, flips, and teeth clacking. Females care for the babies, with the males only sticking around until the young are born. This takes about 20-30 days. Males will bring food for the female during this time, assuring she has the best care for passing on his legacy.
Squeep babies, called kits, are always born in litters of 3.
