I know this is asking a lot.... but my computer ONLY came with WordPad. If anyone has an unwanted copy of Word or knows someplace I can get it for super cheap, that would be fantastic...

Word online or wordpress are apparently good if you don't have office
You can also download LibreOffice or OpenOffice. They're not full of the frills of Microsoft's product but they do a way better job than WordPad and still have spell check and the like.

I would also suggest using Google docs. It's free (just need a gmail account) and you can use it from anywhere. And it saves all your info to a cloud, so you have access to whatever you are working on from any computer with an internet connection. They also have spreadsheet and slideshow options.

LibreOffice. Because getting used to a new program (that isn't all too different from MSOffice) is worth the zero price tag.

Baby download OpenOffice. it has literally everything that Microsoft Office does but smaller and for free.
