Help for the Homeless.

I really want to start helping homeless people in my community..
I live in Florida and they (apparently) Have this law that the homeless cannot beg for money on the street.. So Im not sure where would be a good place to find some people in need.
Im terrified of Bridges.. but are there any places where someone would find someone whos homeless?
I honestly just want to help, I never have experienced being homeless and I know its a very hard thing to go through.
Just thinking about if I ever became homeless.. I start to cry. Most people dont appreciate their lives until they are homeless..
Warm baths... Roof over head... Safety (At lease more safety than living outside)... Good food... A warm bed.
And what people dont understand is.. Homeless people are people too, they have feelings.. and not all of them go off and get "Hammered drunk" Like how the media portrays being homeless..
People dont stand up when a homeless person is being bullied or beaten.. they are humans... we are all the same.. why would you stand up for one person wearing the hottest outfit ever.. but not care about the person whos wearing old dirty clothes.. whats wrong with people???????
I don't have much money to actually spend.. But I really want to find those amazing souls and maybe buy them some chicken wings..or some Chinese food.. anything I can afford.
Instead of worrying about whos the most popular digital artist..Or whos the most popular rapper.. we should be focusing on who needs help and whos in need.
So my question to you guys.. Do you know any place where I can find homeless people and maybe help them?
I just want to help the less fortunate and maybe make a change in this dying world...

While your intentions are fairly pure, I suggest against actively seeking out the homeless and less fortunate. Yes, you might want to do something for them but a lot of them have been that way for extended periods of time. You should volunteer for homeless shelters or soup kitchens to attempt to make a difference. If you actively seek them out on your own you /will/ be asking for trouble. Most of them on an individual basis are generally not right of mind and are only looking for a come up and will easily take advantage of you as a person. Weather it be for money or for food. You may find yourself on the end of a knife or even work a gun with some of them. Please, volunteer at homeless shelters and soup kitchens in your community, that is your safest and most proactive way of helping the homeless and less fortunate zecro.
