New NEW JERSEY CONVENTION

Hey guys does anyone know how to start a convention.
Current FAunited was the only NJ con but had been moved! I want to start a new con but have no idea how can anyone lead me in the correct direction, now I'm not sure how legit this convention center could work but so far it meets a lot of demands!!! We are going to need a lot of support for this con to happen if we don't get enough support then this con can't happen!

Location Information
Between Philadelphia and New York, our hotel is in East Brunswick, only 20 minutes from Newark International Airport, 35 minutes from Manhattan, 30 minutes from Trenton and 40 minutes from Philadelphia.

Prices can be $87-99 per night!!!!!

You can also help by just spreading the word!

My only concern is the legal aspect of the whole thing. Which is unfortunately a big part of it. Also the fees needed to pay to the hotel for the convention space as well as making sure people in charge aren't liable for any issues that may arise as well as making sure hotel staff is well aware anthropomorphic aniamls will be walking around heh.

Its doable. It will just require a lot of work.

Do you think it would be far fetched to have a Kickstarter or Go fund me to help pay the costs or most likely won't be a lot interest in that? Also do you happen to know how much the fees generally are?
I'll be calling the hotel soon and asking about holding a furry convention and is they are comfortable with this.

I would also suggest getting in contact with an actual furry con organizer, such as Uncle Kage; he might have some useful tips for you and be able to help support and spread the word to a larger audience.

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend if this goes ahead as I live in Australua and flights are expensive. I wish you all the best though.

If you need any help with planning the artist alley or social media management I could help. I have friends who've run the Dreamation/Double Exposure Artist Alley's and the like and needed my help in the past. It's a gaming convention in NJ that runs three times a year.
