So my mom has been one of my strongest allies through this whole becoming the right gender thing after we had a long heart to heart. She called me her daughter for the first time ever a week ago when I started taking the pills. But I've noticed a..shift in the way she treats me. She's more snarky.. More conspiratorial? If that's the right word? like she's always letting me in on these little bits of ancient womanly wisdom. Like: "Don't grow your nails long. It's pointless. We only do that if we have to hide age spots." So today with her usual check up on me I decided to be a smart ass.
Mom: How are you feeling today?
Me: A little weird.
Mom: Weird? How so?
Me: Well.. I'm always hungry, I can't make up my mind on where I want to go, and I feel this overwhelming urge to bring up shit from three years ago...

To me it was funny, I was expecting a 'lol' or something back.. .instead I got this:

Mom: Okay. We can eat all the time, right it. The truth is you don't actually want to go anywhere, and women don't forget ANYTHING so start practicing how to keep your mouth SHUT. Love you.


I love my mom >.>

Now to go watch the Golden Girls for 2 hours.
