My Mobo is fried, thanks to a power surge, and my strip failing badly.. so.. in about $250 I'll be bakc online and able to finish shit... god I hate life ._.;
hehe thanks, but no worries.. I'm planning on upgrading to a 64-bit AMD 3800+ ... found a ncie deal.. so once my taxes come in, I can get that, a new motherboard, -and- pay for my commissions form your lovely mate :)
And also, don't be afraid to pay more money for a quality surge protector. A $30 one will protect much better than a $10 one. And a power strip is not the same as a surge protector. Dunno if you already knew, but just sayin'. :)
yeah, I knew ^/_\^ this power protector has a back up battery supply.. paied about $80 for it 2 years ago.. and when the surge happened, the wiring failure lifgfht on the box came on, it got shorted out too somehow.. and now that it out of warranty, I cna't get the company to pay for it ((that was the first thing I tried... >.<))
Are you sure that it was the Motherboard and not the power supply? That's a high possibility, so you better make sure all is factual. The last thing you want to do is buy another motherboard and find out that it doesn't work because it wasn't it wasn't the problem. I've come across many last year with the same prob, so you might want to take my advice and check before you make a mistake.
You think that was bad, a lot of electrical appliances, including a Gamecube, got friend in last May's power outage because some fucknugget smashed his car into a pole.
I was just about to ask if you could send me the latest work on my commissions, but I guess not now. How are they going, by the way? Have you mailed the originals yet? Like I said, I'm not a bugger about deadlines, but two months is kinda pushing it, especially when I paid a little extra. Get back to me when you can. Thanks.
