Zootopia "guidelines plot and theme cliches"
General
Warning this have minor spoilers
so i'm gonna talk about
what guidelines plot and cliches this movie have.
I'm not gonna go into to deep details spoilers,
but just "theme" cliches it uses,
and some are pretty good but some are... Disney
as I like label all the cliches of any show or movie
good or bad
so just a heads up.
Main guideline plot:
Race acceptance, and it's not one way, but both ways,
alittle interesting as the ads did mention it alittle,
but I didn't know it would be one of it's main focus
and not a minor side thing,
as both Preds and Preys judge each others
of what they are, and not who they are,
and much learn to get along and coexist.
---
The 2nd main plot: ...I don't want to say much,
as it's another big focus of the film,
and it's about the case they're going on.
so I'll leave it as that.
---
Minor plot 1: polar opposites buddy cop cliche
almost forgotten that one,
not a bad one, it's pretty good,
I like the relationship between Judy and Nick
but trying not to give to much details so i'll stop right here.
---
Minor plot 2: Follow your dreams and you can do and be anything.
oh that little cute cliche that almost every Disney film says,
yeah they focus on that cliche alittle,
well they do focus on it for a bit, going back and forth with it,
but not as much as the other two Main plots, making it alittle surprising.
---
And what is my opinion on the movie ?
this movie was pretty cute and funny,
I recommend watching it
in theaters or later on netflix or out on dvd
I think it's a fun adventure with a charming, cute and fun story in it.

The theme isn't "you can do or be anything." The theme is that you should try to follow your dreams to do or be anything you want, but that everyone has their own flaws and limitations. Judy starts out with the naive "anyone can be anything if they try" viewpoint. Nick starts off with the "you are what you are, so why bother trying to be what others don't see you as" view. Both of them have a more balanced view by the end of the movie. That is judging from the book; I didn't see the movie yet. It's an important part of Judy's speech in the book that she learns the world isn't as simple as anyone can be/do anything if they try, but they should try anyway even though they may fail (just as the song says). That goes for the stereotypes too. Sometimes they are true, and the story doesn't shy away from that just to be nice. The message on that front isn't stereotypes are always wrong; it's that they don't define everyone and aren't always true even if they can be sometimes.
I think that makes it more realistic and less preachy than it could have been, and as you pointed out the prejudice goes both ways in the movie and Judy coming to terms with identifying her own prejudice is quite important. A "you can be anything" message would have been the typical path, but that's not what they did. Also of note is that Judy could not do it alone, which is another thing she learned.
are almost in the same catalog
but yeah it's like that.
yeah she learns it isn't simple
as she was very eager to jump to be just a cop and do higher cop jobs
for a newbie, low ranks can't just do high rank jobs
but they treat her that way because she's first cop bunny too,
as it's a minor cliche, but realistic what she learns later on.
yeah it had it's realistic surreal moments,
like the race judgement thing.
oh I forgot...
but I don't want to spoiler it but it's a cliche too
near the ending and about the case they're on
a "what a twist", after the train part.
I can imagine maddened SJWs, screaming how racist and objectifying they find the movie. I can also imagine the conservatives annoyed of having tolerance lessons shoved down their throat in a kid's movie (again). I, personally, greatly enjoyed the movie, and am looking forward to getting in on DVD :) It has plentiful pros and negligible cons.
My only gripe is that there were nowhere near enough stripper tigers for my taste XD
and it wasn't one sided too as well
and it didn't felt forced.
people like to find anything offensive
even it isn't or make sense,
Like the Disney Brave movie controversy
about Merida being a lesbian
because she didn't choose a guy,
in a arrange marriage... that was LMFAO stupid...
yeah I think the Gazelle and the Tigers
had more screen time in the ads
then the movie itself.
yeah very dumb.
