Sorry to hear that you've had to deal with such again there big guy. One of the many banes of being an artist, especially one as talented as yourself.

Might be good to simply make such information about requests not there so people don't get any additional ideas. But restricting such is also a good idea for ground rules. However, most of those who do so still tend to ignore all the warning signs and ask anyways. XD

mostly told them once that I don't do requests, if they asked again I deleted the message. If asked again I auto blocked them.

In all seriousness though I know what this is like. Heck, I did a request for someone once, they imedietally asked for another one, I said 'later I have a lot to get through', a month later they told a friend of mine that I'm selfish and only think of myself. It's just, wow, these people sometimes.

Actually got a note a month ago asking for a request. My reply? "I've not updated my gallery for a year and a half, WHAT DO YOU THINK!?!?"

I have noticed a lot of the time it's the same people just bouncing between different artists pages leaving a copy pasted message requesting free art. Acting like a bunch of vultures. Had quite a few of them lash out on me when I did my 100+ character picture, seemingly offended that they had been left out. Personally I think your anger is justified, Work your ass off just to give them a free ride, have them breathing down your neck making demands, drawing requires inspiration and putting up with this kind of crap saps it dry.

I've told more than one artist in my time to put their foot down and say no.

You're better off being super picky when dealing with requests. Only accepting ones from people you get along with and if you're REALLY liking the idea enough to draw it.

damn, i know how you feel, i've been hounded by people before about my artwork as well, they only backed off when i threaten to bump them to the very bottom of the list and i tell them they have to be patient, that their pictures will be finished when i finish them given i have school and job hunting, ass-hole dads, crazy animals and a partridge in a pear tree~~~! to deal with as well as finishing their artwork.

Hang in there though, dealing with the bad along with the good is part of being the best, just remind them calmly you have other things in life that demand your attention besides them and that their images are definitely getting done and will be finished when you finish them, and it WILL BE at your own pace.
