My prescription, I have severe anxiety on top of my depression and autistic spectrum. So the drugs help a lot. I also have a hate stone I carry with me. It's just a ball of obsidian that I try and use to help me push out negative emotions
I don't do this a lot, but if it gets really bad, an effective short-term solution is meditation. Just sit there and zone out, pushing away all thoughts. There are a bunch of ways to do this from mantras to deep breathing (or some combination of things), so if you're willing to give it a try, just look it up. :3
In general, though, I just try to fix whatever's causing the situation. Don't know your situation, but if you've got any power to fix it, work toward that. If you don't, then just adjust to your new way of life and accept that it's going to happen and there's nothing you can do about it.
There's a lot of "woo" associated with meditation, but it is a legitimate practice so long as you drop the weird supernatural junk people try to attach. :3

Past experience helps me cope better with future challenges. I tend to try and get exercise, and work. Workaholism is a way that helps me cope, but I have the remember that overdoing it isn't a good thing either.
