Interesting conversation today. My managers hate convention time because I always go with my roommate Sigma and since we work in the same part of the store this causes an issue. Megaplex is also near inventory, which is like the worst 'holiday' in retail.

I explain to my store manager that it'll be the last time we overlap like this since I'm moving to another department soon and it's only three days and lo and behold she was fine with it, which seriously surprised the shit out of me.

But the interesting part came afterward when she asks(and I should have been prepared for this), "so what convention are you going to? What's it about?"

Explaining a furry convention to my store manager was certainly something I never expected to do. I was just like, "Uhhh it's a place where we get together to celebrate art, make costumes-"

"What kind of costumes?"

"..animal costumes, anime costumes, that sort of thing."

"..Well y'all have fun!"
